The “Octavian Goga” school in Cluj-Napoca benefits from the COMENIUS multilateral partnership, called “Teaching Content Through a Foreign Language”.The program was financed by the European Commission through the Comenius Sector Program, part of the Lifelong Learning Program.

“Teaching Content Through a Foreign Language” (CLIL) means teaching a subject while using a different language than the one used usually. The CLIL method can be applied and it’s considered efficient at any level of study, starting with primary school all the way to university and adult education, and in the last 10 years it has had continuous success. The essential component of this method is the fact the student accumulates knowledge about a subject while also being in contact with a foreign language, which he uses to learn. Often, the teaching methods are particular to what it’s being taught.
During the 6th and 9th of May 2010, the third meeting of the Comenius team members from all six countries has taken place, and our school was the host:
Scoala “Octavian Goga” din Cluj-Napoca este beneficiara unui parteneriat multilateral COMENIUS, “Teaching Content Through a Foreign Language”, finantat de Comisia Europeana prin Programul Sectorial Comenius, parte a Programului de Invatare pe Tot Parcursul Vietii (Lifelong Learning Programme).
Invatarea bazata pe continut a unei limbi straine (CLIL) inseamna predarea unui obiect de studiu intr-o limba diferita de cea folosita in mod obisnuit. Metoda CLIL se aplica si este considerata eficienta la toate nivelurile de studiu, incepand cu scoala primara si terminand cu invatamantul superior si educatia adultilor, iar in ultimii 10 ani s-a bucurat de un succes din ce in ce mai mare. Elementul esential al acestei metode consta in faptul ca elevul acumuleaza cunostinte despre un obiect de studiu in timp ce ia contact cu o noua limba, pe care o foloseste si o invata. Adesea, metodele si abordarile pedagogice depind de domeniul de care apartine continutul predat.
In perioada 6 - 9 mai 2010 a avut loc cea de-a treia mobilitate a membrilor echipei Comenius din cele 6 tari implicate, iar scoala noastra a fost gazda.
